Is Watching Porn a Sin? (+ Prayer Against Pornography Addiction)

As your friend in Christ, and someone committed to your salvation, I’m obligated to discuss the difficult and controversial topics, as well as the fun and inspirational ones. Time for a tough one! What does the Bible say about watching porn?

Approximately 200,000 Americans are addicted to pornography. Also, porn addiction is classified as a behavioral addiction, similar to that of alcohol or drugs, because of the comparable effects that it has on the brain.

Obviously, anything that causes physical and long term psychological harm to our bodies would be deemed to be sinful. After all, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are to treat it with respect (1 Corinthians 3:16).

However, it may be argued that even though drunkenness, alcoholism and alcohol addiction is a sin, alcohol consumption is not.

“No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.” (1 Timothy 5:23)

Similarly, recreational drug use and drug addiction is sinful, but using prescribed drugs or pharmaceutical products, as intended, is not sinful.

Is watching porn a sin, when done in moderation? Unfortunately, there are no positives when it comes to pornography. There is no moderation! Pornography is extreme and even in small doses, it is destructive to your mental health!

Now pair that with the fact that the Bible clearly warns against: lust, sexual immorality, fornication, adultery and immodesty. These are all blatant sins… no ifs, buts or maybes. And they all come together to make up the foundation of the pornographic industry.

Consuming pornographic material is detrimental on a physical and spiritual level! It is just bad! Period! There is no gray area, watching pornography is a sin!

Why is Watching Porn a Sin?

1. Watching Pornography is Physically Harmful

Before we examine why pornography is a sin on a strictly spiritual level, let’s discuss the physical (biological and mental) harm that it does to our bodies. And any act that harms our physical bodies is sinful.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

1. Watching pornography causes the brain to release its “feel good” chemical, dopamine. The rush created by it is addictive.

2. Over time, it takes more and more of the same activity (porn consumption) to achieve the same level of satisfaction.

3. Persons can become dependent on pornography to feel sexual satisfaction.

4. Pornography creates unhealthy expectations of sex.

5. Watching porn lowers your body’s natural sex drive (decreased libido).

6. Increases the risk of developing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

7. Porn use causes a whole host of relationship issues.

We have an obligation to God to take care of our bodies and our physical health. Since watching porn has negative impacts on our physical and mental well-being, it is sinful!

2. Watching Porn Causes Relationship Issues

With the sexual pressures and negative mental and physical implications… porn creates a strain on relationships. Any willful activity that results in spouses disrespecting each other, or rendering them unable to fulfill their duties to one another, is sinful.

“Let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33)

3. Pornography is Built on Multiple Sinful Acts

At the most basic level, watching porn is lusting over a prostitute or prostitutes (male and / or female) as they:

i. Engage in acts of adultery or fornication.

ii. Perform sexual acts, intended to be private, on a public forum.

iii. Perform sexually immoral acts.

These are a combination of multiple sexual sins that the Bible clearly warns against! Since lusting is adultery, according to Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:28), watching porn is committing adultery!

4. Consuming Porn is Giving Into Sexual Temptation

Beneath what appears to be every day life is a battle between good and evil. God versus Satan. God wants us for His kingdom and to inherit everlasting life, whilst the devil wants us to suffer eternal damnation with him.

The devil uses different avenues to cause us to stray away from the path that God has set for us…. To fall off the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life. Pornography is one of them.

Contrary to popular opinion, the devil will not appear as a fire breathing dragon, with a chest of money and offer you it in exchange for your soul. He also won’t appear as a monster and scare you into performing a sinful act.

He’s trickier than that! He’d use tools and people that appear to be appealing to you, to get you to stray away from God’s teachings.

Drugs, alcohol, gambling, money, sexual opportunities… they are all tools used by the devil to manipulate us into sinning. Your particular weaknesses would be exploited. Once you fall victim to this and you indulge, you become disconnected from God, separated by sin. And your salvation is at risk.

The urge to watch porn is the temptation. Giving into and actually watching is yielding to temptation, committing a sin and allowing yourself to be separated from God and His protective covering. At that moment, heaven is no longer your soul’s destination, unless you take corrective action.

Once you are separated from God, due to sin, you are at the mercy of the world and the works of the enemy. And destined for damnation. I can’t sugarcoat it! Looking at pornographic material is dangerous on so many levels!

What Does the Bible Say About Watching Porn?

When reviewing scriptures regarding porn in the Bible, it’s important to note that the Bible was written thousands of years ago. Technology did not exist back then to create pornographic material as we know it nowadays.

Even though the specific word “porn” or “pornography” is not present in the Bible, the New Testament references the Greek work “porneia” on several occasions, which is translated to “sexual immorality” in the English translated variations of the Bible.

So despite “pornography” not being specifically mentioned in the Bible, the topic is still addressed in many scriptures. And however you choose to analyze it, pornography is sinful! From several different angles!

Let’s review the scriptures that address porn in the Bible, along with their message to be used as prayer points:

1. Exodus 20:14

“You shall not commit adultery.”

Not committing adultery is clearly stated as one of the ten commandments. And we must obey God’s commandments.

2. Job 31:1-12

“I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman. For what has God above chosen for us? What is our inheritance from the Almighty on high?

Isn’t it calamity for the wicked and misfortune for those who do evil?”

“…If my heart has been seduced by a woman, or if I have lusted for my neighbor’s wife, then let my wife serve another man, let other men sleep with her.

For lust is a shameful sin, a crime that should be punished. It is a fire that burns all the way to hell. It would wipe out everything I own.”

We must not engage in lust, because it is evil. And persons who do evil will suffer the consequences.

3. Psalms 101:3

“I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar.”

As King David did, we need to specifically pray and vow against watching anything that is sexually immoral.

4. Psalms 119

“Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord…”

“You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully…”

“How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word…”

Psalm 119 constantly reiterates the importance of obeying God’s commandments, one of which is abstaining from adulterous activities.

5. Proverbs 5

“For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword.

Her feet go down to death, her steps lead straight to the grave…”

“…Stay away from her!”

“…Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love.

Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman, or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?

For the Lord sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins, they are ropes that catch and hold him.

He will die for lack of self-control, he will be lost because of his great foolishness.”

Proverbs 5 warns us to stay away from sexually immoral women. It also gives strict instructions for us to exercise self control.

6. Proverbs 6:32-33

“But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself. He will be wounded and disgraced. His shame will never be erased.”

Adultery is disgraceful.

7. Proverbs 7

“Follow my advice, my son, always treasure my commands. Obey my commands and live!”

“…Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman…”

“…So listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words. Don’t let your hearts stray away toward her. Don’t wander down her wayward path.

For she has been the ruin of many. Many men have been her victims. Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death.”

Obey God’s commandments, stay away from sexual immorality and those who promote it!

8. Matthew 5:27-28

“You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’  But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Sexually fantasizing over someone that isn’t your husband / wife is a sin. According to Jesus, this is adultery.

9. Matthew 6:22

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.”

Be mindful of what you spend time looking at, and prioritizing. Things contrary to the word of God can cloud your spiritual vision and be your downfall.

10. Matthew 10:28-30

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Fear God and respect His instructions. There are consequences for your actions.

11. Romans 12:1-2

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

You must treat your bodies with respect, in honor of God. Resist temptation, build your faith and live a life pleasing to Him.

12. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. It must be treated with respect.

13. 1 Corinthians 6:9-20

“Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves.

Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people, none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed, you were made holy. You were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

Those who engage is sexual sins will not go to heaven, unless they repent and refrain from such activities.

“…Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never!

And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, ‘The two are united into one.'”

Watching pornography is lusting. And lusting is adultery. And adultery creates a spiritual connection between those engaged.

Porn stars are prostitutes and you do not want to be spiritually connected to a prostitute, as transference of evil spirits is a real possibility.

“…Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?

You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”

Sexual immorality is wrong and it has serious repercussions.

14. 1 Corinthians 10:13

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

God allows us to be tempted so we can strengthen our faith and resilience as Christians. There are no excuses for giving into temptation.

15. 1 Corinthians 10:31

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

All our actions need to be pleasing to God.

16. 1 Corinthians 16:13

“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.”

Obey God’s word, with diligence.

17. Galatians 5:16-21

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves…”

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarrelling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.

Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

We need to be guided by the Holy Spirit and refrain from sinful acts such as “lustful pleasures”, which includes watching pornography.

18. Ephesians 5:3-33

“Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.”

“You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God.”

We cannot enter heaven if we engage in sexual immorality and watching porn falls into that category.

“Each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”

Husbands and wives must have respect for each other.

19. Philippians 1:20

“I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.”

The lives that we live must be pleasing to God.

20. Philippians 2:13

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”

We must be obedient to God and with God’s help, we can.

21. Philippians 3:19-20

“Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven.”

Be mindful of the negative influence of ungodly people.

22. Colossians 3:5

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.”

Stay away from sexual immorality. God will destroy those who participate in these acts.

23. 1 Thessalonians 5:22-23

“Reject every kind of evil. May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Resist the urge to do anything contrary to the word of God. This ensures that you are in a position to enter heaven when Christ returns.

24. 1 Timothy 2:9-10

“Women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, But with what is proper for women who profess godliness, with good works.”

There is nothing modest about pornography and those who do it. It is absolutely wrong and sinful.

25. 1 Timothy 4:8

“Train yourself for godliness, for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”

Godliness in collaboration with self control and physical development is a winning combination.

26. 2 Timothy 2:22

“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.”

Do not put yourself in a position to trigger lustful thoughts.

27. Hebrews 13:4

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

Marriage is precious to God and those who disrespect it will be dealt with.

28. James 1:12-15

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by God,’ for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.”

God wants us to resist temptation because it is destructive.

29. 1 Peter 2:11

“Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.”

Watching pornography, lust, adultery and other forms of sexual immorality puts our salvation in jeopardy.

30. 1 John 2:15-16

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life, is not from the Father but is from the world.”

Sexual sins are normalized by the world, but it is not Godly. And God will not be with anyone that engages in sexual immorality.

31. 1 John 3:1-10

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us His children, and that is what we are…”

“Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God…”

“Anyone who continues to live in Him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who He is…”

“But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.

So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.”

We are children of God and we need to stay away from sinful activities. Sin puts us into the hands of the devil.

32. John 14:15

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Jesus specifically spoke about the importance of obeying God’s commandments. One of which is categorically “not committing adultery.”

33. Matthew 19:17

“If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”

Jesus stated that the minimum requirements to enter heaven is keeping God’s commandments, which includes refraining from adultery.

34. Matthew 19:9

“And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”

Jesus warned us on several occasions about the gravity of adultery and sexual immorality. Sexual sins are serious offences.

35. James 4:7

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

We have the power to resist temptation. Once we do, the temptation will go away.

36. 1 Corinthians 5:11

“You are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.”

Sexual immorality is extremely serious and we cannot tolerate it.

37. 1 Corinthians 7:3-4

“The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.”

Husbands and wives are sexually obligated to each other, exclusively.

38. 1 Corinthians 10:8

“And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day.”

God detests sexual immorality and disobedience.

39. Numbers 25:1-4

“While Israel lived in Shittim, the people began to whore with the daughters of Moab... And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.”

God is serious about our obedience. Thousands of Israelites were once destroyed because of sexual immorality and defiance of His instructions.

40. 1 Thessalonians 5:2

“For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”

No one knows the exact date and time that Christ will return for His people. We need to do what is right and always be ready for that moment.

41. Philippians 4:19

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

God will satisfy all your needs.

42. 1 Peter 5:6-7

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”

Hand over your struggles to God and He will guide you through them.

43. Matthew 6:33

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Build your faith, do what is pleasing to God and He will take care of all your needs.

44. 1 John 4:17

“And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgement, but we can face Him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.”

When we live a life pleasing to God, we can be confident in our salvation on judgement day.

45. 1 Kings 11

“King Solomon loved many foreign women…”

“And his wives turned away his heart. For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father…”

“And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel…”

“Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, ‘Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant.

Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.'”

Disobedience to God results in harsh punishment and possible generational curses.

46. 1 Peter 5:8-10

“Be sober-minded, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

The devil is actively trying to destroy God’s people by tempting us. We must resist and it will go away.

47. 2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Pray, ask for forgiveness and your sins will be forgiven.

48. 1 John 2:28

“And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when He returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from Him in shame.”

Refrain from sinful activity so that we can be confident of our salvation upon Christ’s return.

49. 1 John 1:9

“But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

Ask God for forgiveness and be forgiven.

50. Revelation 3:5

“All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.”

As believers, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, to enter into heaven. But if we sin, it is erased.

51. Revelation 21:27

“But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Only if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, repent and remain free from sin, upon our death or Christ’s return, would we be able to go to heaven.

Porn in the Bible and Overcoming Temptation

Now that we’ve reviewed the scriptures and discussed them, you are educated, knowledgeable and can make informed decisions. You are also equipped with an arsenal of pornography related prayer points.

Most importantly, you are now accountable for your actions!

“For we will all stand before the judgement seat of God. For it is written, ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’ So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:10-12)

Therefore, moving forward you must:

1. Resist Temptation

Resist sinful desires, which includes lusting and consuming pornographic content. Fortunately, God has blessed us with the ability to resist temptation, which is exactly what must be done (James 4:7).

Also, God is ultimately in control of everything and He would never allow us to be tempted beyond what we can handle. He expects us to resist temptation whenever we are faced with it (1 Corinthians 10:13).

2. Build Faith, Pray & Build Resilience

Our lives as Christians shouldn’t be a constant intense battle of fighting off what is categorically wrong. Even though a spiritual battle is ever present, resisting blatant sins should be second nature. Living clean lives should be who we are.

As believers and heaven seekers, we must read our Bible and educate ourselves with regards to God’s teachings, warnings and expectations.

Additionally, we must pray, communicate with God and let Him speak to us. This way, our faith is strengthened and living good Christ-centered lives become simple, straightforward and extremely fulfilling.

3. Always be Ready for Christ’s Return

We are living in the last days and anticipating the return of Christ. Nobody knows the exact date and time. Upon His return, God’s people would be taken up into heaven.

We need to live lives pleasing to God so that our names are present in the Lamb’s Book of Life, upon Christ’s return. Or if we unfortunately pass on. If we sin, our names are blotted out, revoking our rights to eternal life (Revelation 3:5). We cannot allow this to happen!

Prayer Against Pornography: Let’s Pray!

Now that we are educated and equipped with a host of pornography prayer points and scriptures, let us construct an anti pornography prayer. This way we can offer a prayer for pornography addiction if needed.

If you haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, please start by delivering The Sinner’s Prayer. It is the most important prayer that you’d ever say in your life. This first needs to be done in order to further communicate with God, as Jesus is our designated communication channel to God the Father.

“You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:13-14)

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)

If you have already accepted Christ, please skip ahead to the specific prayer against pornography. If not, please focus on God and with full heart-felt devotion, deliver The Sinner’s Prayer as follows:

Continuing on, with full focus on God, deliver the following prayer. Be sure to include the specific pornography prayer points with scriptures quoted, to support your prayer, based on your particular needs.

Remember, your prayer needs to come from your heart, so include the prayer points and supporting scriptures wherever you see fit:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I humbly come to you in the name of my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. I worship your name. You are worthy of all honor and glory. Great is your name, Father!

Lord, I thank for sending your Son, Jesus to die for my sins. Thank you for all your blessings. Thank you for life and the ability to come to you.

Lord, I pray and ask for forgiveness for all my sins. I confess that I have sinful struggles and ungodly desires and I pray and come against them in the mighty name of Jesus!

Lord, you are enough for me. You can satisfy all my needs. I pray that you touch my mind and body and bless me with your divine sense of satisfaction. Help me to stay true to your word. Be with me at all times and walk with me Lord.

Help me to resist temptation and help me to engage in activities that are strictly honorable to you, Father. Guide me and be with me at all times.

Lord, I place all my battles in your hands. I declare that I am healed and I am a new person, in the Mighty name of Jesus. I come against any generational curses and any evil works against me and my family.

Keep me covered under the blood of Jesus and bless me with the capacity to resist any temptation that may come my way.

See to it Lord that my name is kept written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, so that I would enter heaven when that time comes.

I thank you again, Lord. I worship you and give you all the honor and glory. And I declare that it is done! In your name Lord!

In Jesus’ precious name I pray! Amen!
